Paul Follows, Penny Rivers and the local Lib Dem team have exciting and ambitious plans to rebuild the services provided by Surrey County Council, if they gain control after this year’s elections.

Paul Follows, Deputy Leader of Waverley Borough Council, said:

“Conservative council bosses have let residents down for far too long. Basic services have been left decimated after years of Tory austerity and mismanagement.

“Our plans include investing in local road repairs, more school places where families need them and action to ensure vulnerable families and their children are safe and well cared for.

"But we want to know your views on what needs improving too.”

Penny Rivers, Lib Dem county councillor for Godalming North, added:

"There is much to do to get Surrey County Council delivering for residents to the standard they should expect for their council tax.

“That’s why Paul and I have launched our residents’ survey - to find out the issues that are most important to you and your family so that the Lib Dem team can focus on these as a first priority.

“Nothing is as rewarding to me as listening to the concerns of neighbours and then working alongside them to get a better deal for our area. Please do take a couple of minutes to fill out our survey and let us know your priorities.”
