Stop Dumping Sewage in Chiddingfold
Southern Water are pouring huge amounts of human sewage into local streams and rivers.
Figures compiled by The Rivers Trust reveal that in 2021 sewage was discharged into Chiddingfold’s streams on 90 separate occasions, for over 1,250 hours in total. That’s human effluent being dumped on our village for 3 ½ hours every single day!
This accounts for a huge proportion of the total disgusting sewage dumps across the whole of Waverley, and incredibly, almost half of all discharges in South West Surrey - from Farnham to Haslemere to Godalming.
While this is a problem the Conservative government have failed to tackle across the whole country, it’s simply unacceptable that our beautiful village is bearing the brunt of this disgusting practice.
