Cllr Ben Bristow

Name: Ben Bristow

Ward: Farnham South (West Surrey Unitary Authority)

Bio: Hi, I am Ben Bristow – I live in Farnham and am married with three young children.  All my adult life, I’ve played an active part in our community. I’m a trustee for South Farnham Educational Trust, a first aider at Farnham Rugby Club and an enthusiastic member of the Bourne Conservation Society.

I’m a strong advocate for the benefit of sports, and am a helper at Farnham Town Youth FC and a vocal supporter of our First Team. I’ve run several marathons in support of mental health charities.

When I’m not at work as a software developer and manager, you’ll find me playing with my kids, caring for my bees, volunteering, and even helping Santa at the school Christmas fair!

I stood to be your Liberal Democrat councillor because, like you, I care deeply about our town’s future and want to help it thrive. My experience of managing a large team, along with my down-to-earth approach and a passion for getting stuck in, will be put to good use setting up the new Unitary Authority. Based on my professional experience dealing with complex projects, these skills would be a strong match with the urgent need to address SEND provision in West Surrey.
