Bio: Gemma is a qualified solicitor and has spent most of her life locally in Cranleigh and Elstead. Her passion lies in protecting the environment and preserving our precious natural resources for future generations. With a background in the renewable energy sector, Gemma has experience of setting up community energy programmes which enable residents to share in reduced energy prices whilst protecting the environment. She is keen to support the work of the council in reducing its own environmental impact, and helping residents with the transition to Net Zero. Previously, Gemma helped set up a local community project for teens with mental health issues and worked to get support for children with special educational needs.
