It unifies us, nurtures our humanity and strengthens our communities. Whether it is on cold weekend mornings at clubs and pitches or evenings after school or work, I especially commend the award winners, the sponsors, athletes, their parents and families who day in and day out support our youth and the wider community. Some volunteers, clubs and community groups have committed decades to serving sport for people of all abilities and aspirations in and around Farnham. I so proud of them. And for 50 years, the amazing Farnham Sports Council has been a fantastic champion for sport in Farnham and beyond. You all have my unwavering support. I pledge to do everything I can to support you all, not least by protecting sports and arts funding via the National Lottery.”
