LibDems Mark UN International Day of Conscience in Godalming

WLD

The International Day of Conscience is a global day of awareness celebrated on April 5th, commemorating the importance of human conscience. It was established by the United Nations General Assembly on July 25, 2019, and was first celebrated on April 5th, 2020.

Party volunteers from across Waverley gathered in Godalming High Street at the Spring Festival on Saturday 5th April to ask people what they would wish for to create a world guided by fairness, peace, justice, democracy and tolerance.

High ideals, definitely, but when so much in politics is defined by what people oppose, it was a timely reminder about what the LibDems stand for. Everyone who made a wish was rewarded with chocolate as well as the chance to dream.
