Waverley Mayor Opens Affordable Homes in Haslemere

Yesterday the Mayor of Waverley, Cllr Penny Rivers, attended the opening of 132 affordable homes in Haslemere, built by Thakeham for Stonewater Housing Association.

This is fantastic news for the local community, especially due to the large number of social rented homes (78) included, the most affordable tenure of affordable housing.

The Mayor thanked Thakeham and Stonewater for all their efforts to deliver these homes. Building decent and affordable homes is one of the Liberal Democrats' key manifesto pledges.
