Pothole Petition

Call on Conservative-led Surrey County Council to declare a Pothole Emergency and take urgent action to address the current crisis across our roads.

Conservative-led Surrey County Council’s long-term neglect of our roads has led to a dangerous pothole pandemic spreading across the local area.

This appalling situation causes enormous frustration, distress and financial loss to residents. The council has no plan to deal with this issue going forward.

As Liberal Democrats, we vehemently object to the terrible mismanagement of road maintenance at Surrey. Many potholes remain un-patched for months, presenting a safety risk to pedestrians, cyclists and cars.

As a team, we are reporting any potholes we see, or are told about, to Surrey County Council. However, we refuse to accept the situation as a whole and are committed to taking action.

Please join us in calling on Surrey County Council to treat this as the emergency it is, fix the most dangerous potholes properly without delay, pause less urgent work where possible, and publish a clear update so residents know what’s happening.
