Community Spirit and Sunshine at Churt Village Fete

Churt Fete

A glorious afternoon of sunshine brought crowds of villagers and visitors to the heart of Churt for the annual Churt Village Fete, a much-loved tradition celebrating everything that makes this vibrant community so special.

The green was buzzing with activity as families enjoyed a wide range of attractions, from traditional stalls and local crafts to live music and classic games. Children were especially delighted to meet exotic reptiles and stroke friendly dogs and farm animals, while adults made the most of the warm weather with delicious ice cream and an impressive array of food and artisan stalls. One of the highlights of the day was the ever-popular dog show!

Liberal Democrat councillors and activists from across Waverley were in attendance throughout the afternoon, meeting with residents, supporting the stalls, and joining in the festivities. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with the community in a relaxed and joyful setting.

Waverley Liberal Democrat councillor and local Churt resident Julian Spence said: “It’s always heart warming to see such energy and warmth at community events like this. The fete is a brilliant showcase of local talent, generosity, and spirit. It’s clear that Churt continues to thrive thanks to its passionate volunteers and residents.”

Proceeds from the fete will support important local causes.

The Waverley Liberal Democrats would like to thank all the organisers, volunteers, and attendees who made the day such a resounding success.
