Liberal Democrats have a magical time at the Godalming Town Show!

WLD

The Waverley Liberal Democrats were pleased to be able to meet so many people at our stand at the Dragons, Knights and Wizards-themed Town Show in Godalming this year. The stand included free activities for children to design their own shields, a dragon island quiz and bubbles of all sizes! There was also a dragon’s treasure map game with dragon toys being won by some very happy families.

The Godalming Town show is the biggest community event of the year in the town, attracting thousands of people, so it gave the Liberal Democrat councillors and volunteers a welcome opportunity to speak with local residents about any issues they wanted to raise, current initiatives the Lib Dems are undertaking in the community and how to volunteer with the party for those potentially interested in doing so.

Godalming Town and Waverley Borough Lib Dem Councillor, Penny Rivers, said:

“It was wonderful to see and speak with so many people in Godalming at the fantastic Town Show run by the Godalming Round Table on Saturday. We love being out in community to show people how we can make a difference locally, and give them the opportunity to raise matters with us, which we may be able to help with. It was particularly lovely to see so many children enjoying the fun and activities at the stall, and all the amazing games, activities and rides at the show.”
